    We need to look at lyrics even when vocalists sing because so many of them do not pronouce the words clearly!

    Sudha Raghunathan has done justice to the song by pronouncing the lyrics correctly.

    I agree that the when hearing carnatic music the audience is not able to hear clearly the lyrics unless you know the lines. perhaps Sirkhazhi Govindarjan was exception perhaps he was used to sing film songs. The test is that if a member of audience who do not know the lyric write down the lyric when hearing the song that will be proof that singer enunciates clearly the lyric of the song.
